Dear New Mexico Environment Department:
Please accept this letter expressing initial interest in two air quality permit applications and corresponding Notices of Air Quality Permit Applications published in the Las Cruces Sun News on November 14, 2025. Acoma, LLC, announced its applications to the New Mexico Environment Department for two air quality permits for the construction of two neighboring microgrid facilities:
West Microgrid: latitude 31.82333 dec deg North and longitude -106.713056 dec deg West,
approximately 4.1 miles southwest of Santa Teresa in Doña Ana County.
East Microgrid: latitude 31.818333 dec deg North and longitude -106.679167 dec deg West,
Approximately 3.6 miles south of Santa Teresa in Doña Ana County.
It is our understanding that, once the Department determines the applications to be administratively complete, the Department will provide notice in a newspaper of general circulation. We respectfully request that you also notify us when the Department publishes such a notice, in order to ensure the communities we work with and who are directly impacted by this Project and its anticipated emissions are aware of the complete permit applications and next steps. …
