The Law Center issued a press release announcing a report filed with the United Nations Human Rights Committee charging the United States with violating the human rights of minority and indigenous communities affected by decades of uranium mining and milling. The report was written on behalf of our client, the Red Water Pond Road Community Association. The U.S. is up for review under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) in March 2019. This means that the United Nations Human Rights Committee will review the U.S.’ human rights compliance under the ICCPR for the last five years.

Read the report and learn more about our work with the uranium mining-affected Red Water Pond Road community.
